Welcome to my sketchblog! I post a lot of things from class and whatever I find in my sketchbooks that I like. Updates are sporadic or semi-regular but I basically upload anytime I have something good to share! Please feel free to comment with criticism/praise/whatever!

Be sure to find me on myspace and flickr too, while you're at it! :)

I'm currently a student in the Communication Arts department at VCU. My present interests are comics, marine biology, and learning how to paint.

It is a mess of lead.

It looked better on paper... now I am starting to hate this scan. :/

An idea for an art trade with a classmate (here is her very cool deviantArt site), of her character Tigress.

Sometimes you must draw a man standing by a tree, with a popsicle.

Drawing him 'eating'. I don't know why words have to be so hard.

PUPPY

There was a cute pitbull tied up outside the coffee shop, and I wanted to pet him so bad. But his owners seemed kind of creepy and I didn't want to talk to them. heh heh

Note to self: Too many comic-book faces. Observation is better.

You shouldn't assume that I know any more about it than you do.

The club was crowded, foggy and dark. So naturally I wanted to draw.

This is imaginary.

Some impromptu life drawing. We don't do enough drawing in that class. I like Foster okay, but I still wish George Pratt was teaching it.

This is from Visual Studies drawing class. The instructor, Benitez, was demonstrating using The Stick to draw somebody's face. He is such a cynical and opinionated man, so class is always interesting. He loves to go on about some imaginary war between Illustration and the Painting and Printmaking department. He is also from the military, so he uses very violent imagery when he talks.

Wow, fifty already!

I'll admit. Drawing turtlesque creatures and realistic-looking water is not my forte.

I draw a lot of girls. Must be from all those goddamn Barbies as a kid! I had like 30 Barbies and only 3 Kens... rofl

I love art people. The new batch of AFO kids are so adorable! I want to just poke their bellies and watch them gurgle.

Construction of some kind at the bus stop. I thank the gods of public transportation for putting a bench there.
